Here at DIAWA we are all about self love, confidence and encouraging ourselves and each other to be the best that we can possibly be…..even on bad days.


The best place to go to feel love or encouragement is inside. No one knows you the way you do. No one understands how you feel more than you do.

Sometimes we are so hard on ourselves it makes sense that we would look outward for love, acceptance,and encouragement. While it is great to have a support system to rely on, It isn’t smart to make that your only resource for fulfillment.


Do you have that one person that you go to for the “just what i needed to hear” speech? If so what do you do when that person isn’t available? Life is unpredictable and it’s always good to have someone to lean on. In the same instance it is also important to be able to rely on yourself for a pick me up when times are hard. Using self affirmations can help you do that.

I am guilty of looking to others for the love and support without loving and supporting myself first.


Do you value yourself as much as you value your mother, father,children, or siblings? If not why do you think that is??


Do you love, encourage, and forgive yourself, as much as your loved ones? What makes you any less deserving?


Sometimes due to no fault of our own we believe and think horrible things about ourselves. And like Oprah says you become what you believe. So it’s about time you start to change the way you talk to yourself in your head:: Or am I the only person that does that??  Hopefully I am not on a one way train to crazy town and someone out there can relate lol :: The way we think about ourselves impacts what we do in our lives and the type of life we lead. Damaging, self loathing thoughts turn into damaging and regressing actions and the cycle continues from there.

It starts with you

Believe it or not, we are in control of our own destinies. Each day our actions help to form the path we are on in life. I believe what we focus on and think about the most plays a deciding factor in what we do. If I cant stop thinking about chocolate chip cookies and catching up on Orange is the New Black, chances are Im going to make time to stuff those cookies down my throat while binge watching my show. On the other hand if I focus my thoughts and actions on achieving a goal or thinking more positively; I will end up doing those things more. Any step forward is a step in the right direction.

And although life circumstances always find a way to derail the plans we set in place, It’s important to never give up and always believe in yourself.

If it was easy to achieve any goal, then everyone would be doing it. Since that’s not the case I guess it’s safe to say that a mishap, or a setback will pop up from time to time. It is your job to overcome it and keep pushing forward.

Most importantly it is crucial that you don’t look at obstacles as a sign to stop or give up. Instead take those as a sign that you are getting closer and you are going through a  test. Feeling secure in yourself and your thoughts about yourself can help to defuse all the negativity that we surround ourselves with.

Peace, Love, Success, and Wealth

are things we all can attain, no matter where you are in life. But the process starts with the way you think about and perceive the situations that you face. If you think you never get your way and bad things always happen to you, then circumstances will prove that to be true. When you refocus your energy and pay attention to the positives in life, more positivity flows your way.

Self affirmations have helped me to recognize that and I challenge you to open yourself up to some good ol’ positivity too. For the next 3 weeks, everyday think and say great things to yourself. Think of it as daily reminders of how amazing you are.


I’ve designed this 21 day affirmation challenge to target Peace, Self Love, Wealth, and Success. I think we all aspire to have these things at some point in our lives. I invite you to complete this challenge with me and open your minds and hearts to endless possibilities starting with our thought processes.
